Budget and Finance Committee

The Budget and Finance Committee is an advisory committee and has no discretionary power. We meet to support the Town Clerk and to ensure that communications between the Clerk and the Council are open and clear.

At each meeting we review a standard list of topics. There is no set agenda. On occasion we do research for the clerk or the council regarding fiscal and budgetary issues.

At budget time we ensure that department budgets are compiled by each department so that the Clerk and the Council adhere to County and State Reporting and Approval Guidelines.

The BFC takes no official action regarding any issue.
