Refuse and Recycling

RECYCLING PICKUP INFO

Recycling service is managed and provided by Borden Waste Away Service, Inc. through and for Laporte County Solid Waste, Laporte County.  As this service is a tax assessment on your property tax bill, please call Laporte County Solid Waste District at 219-326-0014, for any reason, to resolve issues on recycling.  Residential recycling is generally picked up every other Tuesday and, for convenience, you will find those dates on your Long Beach Water bill.

GARBAGE PICKUP INFO

Garbage is generally picked up every Monday. If your refuse/trash/garbage has been missed by Republic Services, please leave your toter at the street and call Long Beach Town Hall at 219-874-6616 or 219-871-7201 no later than 10:00 AM the following morning so the Town can schedule a pick up for you. If a holiday falls on a Monday, garbage will be picked up the following day.
